These knife modifications are relatively cheap and easy to make:
1. Add a lanyard to the handle 2. Reprofile the blade / changing the edge angle 3. "Heat anodize" a titanium or aluminum pocket clip 4. Add a fire steel notch to the back of the blade 5. Put tennis racket tape or inner bicycle tube on the handle 6. Put a forced patina on carbon or tool steel blades
